Book a Comedian Early to Get the One You Want
The earlier you book a comedian for an event, the better. Top-notch comedians tend to be booked months in advance. If you wait too long you might find that the comedian you wanted for the show has a full schedule already. In addition to booking early, you should also have at least two or three possibilities in mind. You should try to identify a few different comedians who would be right for your event. Then if one of them is busy, or charges too much, then you can turn to the next person on your list. If you pin all your hopes on a specific comedian, you could be disappointed if that person is unavailable. And you’d have to start the selection process all over again. In many cases, you will be expected to pay in advance for the comedian’s services. In fact, if you are thinking of booking a very famous comedian, you will have to prove that you have the funds to pay him before you can begin discussions about hiring him.
